Supermicro Sixteen Drive 3U: Up to 16TB of storage in a 3U chassis!

 

The Supermicro SC836TQ-R800V specs holds 16ea. 3.5" SATA-II hard drives, has a dual redundant 800W hot-swap power supply, and provides for best-in-class storage density in a 3U rackmount chassis.

Start with a moderate number of drives, then add more drives down the road to expand your RAID array(s). Or, fill it up with sixteen drives from the get-go for a TON of protected storage space.

We recommend the dual-socket 940 Opteron platform for large storage arrays. The socket 940 platform is economical, efficient, and offers solid performance-perfect for storage applications.
